Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager role is a cross-functional leadership position within the Aftermarket Operations Off-Wing organisation aligned to the VP MRO – Repair & Used Material, based in Derby, U.K. It is focused on managing the relationships and performance of our Repair supply chain as well as driving the conversion of Serviceable Used Material (SUM) to mitigate supply chain shortages and optimize Shop Visit Cost reduction opportunities. This role is a key interface point for the global Aftermarket organisation and will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, and the Value Streams to ensure we meet Gate 2 kitting requirements. The ideal candidate must be able to plan and coordinate many different kinds of operational activities in a diverse technical environment.
Key Accountabilities:

Provide cross-functional leadership across Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Engineering to deliver the supply of repaired components in line with our Gate 2 kitting requirements and broader Used Material requirements.

Manage the day-to-day relationships with key vendors and joint ventures within our network to deliver class leading Delivery, Quality, Cost, and Safety performance.

Support the deployment of risk management practices to assess, communicate and mitigate supply chain risks.

Deploy the Operating Management System within your team to drive standardization in governance and reporting.

Provide leadership for recruitment, line management and capability development of team members.

Responsible for understanding supplier obligations contained in the Global Supplier Code of Conduct and addressing any supplier compliance concerns through direct action or escalation. Responsible for ensuring that supplier compliance to the Global Supplier Code of Conduct is maintained.

Embed a Safety culture and create a broader team environment that maximizes engagement and development to ensure everyone can be at their best.

Basic Requirements:

Experience in MRO
-
Associate’s degree and 8+ years of experience in an aviation discipline, or
-
In Lieu of a degree 14+ years of experience in an aviation discipline
Preferred Requirements:

Knowledge and understanding of gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures

Familiarity with airworthiness regulations
-
Ability to prioritise, work independently or in a team environment with a strong customer focus

Ability to develop and maintain relationships and a good network across organisation.

Ability to understand and communicate technical details and solve complex technical issues.

Ability to demonstrate strategic ability, problem solving, and decision making

Experience working with multiple business functions, both technical and non-technical

Experience leading and developing teams
